Popular Singing

I offer professional vocal tuition in rock, pop, soul, blues and jazz.  Whether you're a professional singer wanting to push yourself a little harder, or a hairbrush-wielding bedroom superstar looking to take things more seriously, I can help with both technique and performance.  I don't just teach you how to sing the right notes in the right order - I teach you how to make the audience really believe what you're singing.

I have studied and worked alongside some of the world's top vocal coaches, including the X-Factor coaching team, and have been established as a vocal coach in South West London since 2005.

100% pass rate in Rockschool exams since 2008; I plan to offer Trinity Rock exams in the near future.

All ages from 12+; lessons take place at my studio in Hampton Hill (TW12) and last 1 hour.  For more details, drop me a line through the contact page, making sure you spell your email address correctly!

Classical Piano

Spring 2012 is here, and I am delighted that I am now able to offer classical piano lessons to children and adults of all abilities.

There are too many people in the world who have been put off classical music because they think it's "boring" or "too hard".  I aim to give people a love of classical piano music, as well as teach them how to actually enjoy practising, and the discipline of learning a piece properly - lessons that can be used in all aspects of life

There's no point in playing music if you don't enjoy it.

There's no point in doing anything unless you're going to do it properly.

A pianist since the age of 4, trained by Dr Fanny Waterman, founder of the Leeds International Piano competition.

Songwriting Workshop

If you've an idea that you're not sure how to develop, I can help show you how to turn the basic thoughts into full compositions.

If you've got a song that's not quite working, bring it along and we'll work out which bits to trim and which parts to develop, in order to get it sounding its best.

I believe songwriting is a combination letting the song grow naturally and hard work.  I can't promise to turn anybody into the next McCartney, but I can show you how to stretch yourself so that your songwriting skills develop - just like any other discipline.
